Blenheim and the Marlborough Region

The town of Blenheim lies low on the Wairau Plain. It is Marlborough's largest town and main business and recreational centre. The town has the low-key ambience of rural New Zealand, although its growing maturity is apparent.

Blenheim's town centre is conveniently compact, making it easy to enjoy the town's amenities on foot. In addition to a good selection of shops there are pleasant gardens and many park areas to enjoy. Closer to Blenheim lie some of New Zealand's most well known wineries, many prividing lunchtime and evening meals served with some of the finest wines in the world.
