Blenheim and the Marlborough Region

The town of Blenheim lies low on the Wairau Plain. It is Marlborough's largest town and main business and recreational centre. The town has the low-key ambience of rural New Zealand, although its growing maturity is apparent.

Blenheim's town centre is conveniently compact, making it easy to enjoy the town's amenities on foot. In addition to a good selection of shops there are pleasant gardens and many park areas to enjoy. Pollard Park's picnic areas and sporting facilities are a favourite with local residents and visitors alike.

Blenheim's climate is ideal for outdoor activities and over the summer months, outside living and dining is one of the most popular visitor pastimes. The fantastic selection of restaurants make full use of the local produce and Marlborough's finest wines.
